We want this website to be usable by as many people as possible. This page explains the steps we have taken and how to tell us if something is in the way.
Our approach
COSMETIC & FAMILY DENTISTRY (HULL) LIMITED aims to present information clearly. We have designed the site with the following in mind. This is a statement of intent, not a claim that the website has been independently certified to a particular standard.
What we have worked towards
- Semantic HTML, including a single main heading on each page and landmark regions such as header, navigation, main and footer.
- Keyboard navigation, including a skip link to the main content and a menu button that can be operated from the keyboard.
- Visible focus states on links, buttons and form fields.
- Colour contrast chosen to keep body text readable against ivory and deep teal backgrounds.
- Alternative text for meaningful images, and aria-hidden on decorative graphics.
- A layout that adapts to narrow, medium and wide screens.
- Respect for prefers-reduced-motion, so that movement is reduced when a visitor has asked their system to limit animation.
Core page content remains readable if JavaScript is turned off. The compact navigation menu is an enhancement; the main information does not depend on it.
Known limits
The contact form opens your own email application. That step depends on how your device is set up. If the form does not help, please write directly to sale@cosmeticfamily.site.
